From Village Hands to Global Lands

Through ethical production and fair trade, we create opportunities for growth and independence.

OUR MISSION

At Nesavaali, our mission is simple: to empower rural women. As our brand grows, we remain committed to providing these women with opportunities to learn, grow, and showcase their skills through sustainable fashion. By supporting them, we help create a brighter, more independent future — one opportunity at a time.

Sustainable Impact Together

Since 2017, Nesavaali has partnered with I Village, an inspiring social enterprise, to create sustainable fashion solutions that not only reduce waste but also empower rural women. Through this collaboration, Nesavaali has worked with I Village to repurpose production waste into beautiful packaging bags and small accessories, contributing to a circular and eco-friendly production model.

Aryah Vaibhan Mahajan, a passionate social entrepreneur and the driving force behind I Village, has played a pivotal role in transforming the lives of rural women. She shares, "It has been an immensely rewarding experience to work at the grassroots level with rural women to see them break the shackles of patriarchy and evolve into empowered, socially and economically independent individuals. This is perhaps the biggest achievement. With the team’s shared passion for social entrepreneurship, we truly live our motto of ‘Taking the village to the world.’"

In addition to producing accessories from production waste, this partnership also saw I Village artisans play a vital role during the COVID-19 pandemic, when Nesavaali produced organic cotton face masks to help communities in need. Design skill interventions were provided to rural women, allowing them to create fashionable, handmade accessories that reflect the creativity and cultural heritage of their communities.

Through our ongoing work with I Village, we continue to uplift rural women, helping them develop new skills and gain financial independence while reducing environmental impact. Together, we are crafting a future where fashion is not only beautiful but also conscious and responsible, contributing to a more equitable and sustainable world.

Empowering Women, Elevating Business

At Nesavaali, we believe in the power of collaboration to create lasting change. As part of our ongoing mission to uplift rural women, we invite our business partners, brands, and organizations to join us in making a positive social and environmental impact. By working with I Village, we offer an opportunity to not only source premium, stylish, and practical packaging materials, but also to support the artisans behind them — empowering rural women with consistent orders and fair wages.

Our partnership with I Village encourages the use of linen, cotton, and organic filament-based materials, which are sustainably sourced and crafted by skilled rural women. These materials are not only eco-friendly, but they also contribute to the creation of packaging that’s both high-quality and cost-effective. From luxurious linen bags to beautifully crafted cotton pouches, every piece is designed to be premium, functional, and in line with your brand’s commitment to sustainability.

As we strive to eliminate plastic and reduce environmental impact, we urge our partners to join us in this important mission. By supporting I Village, you are contributing to a movement that goes beyond fashion — you’re investing in the livelihoods of rural women, reducing waste, and creating a more sustainable future for all.

Together, we can ensure that rural artisans continue to thrive, their craftsmanship is celebrated, and we make a collective impact on the planet. Join us in taking a stand for empowerment, sustainability, and ethical practices, and let’s build a future where businesses and communities grow together in harmony.

Strength in Unity: RISE

In the heart of rural communities, behind the long and often difficult struggles, there’s a powerful force of determination and strength within these women. Every day, they rise, not only for their families but for their own futures, ready to challenge the norms that have held them back for so long. With each piece of work they create — whether it’s a beautiful piece of packaging or a handcrafted accessory — these women are building more than just their livelihood; they’re building their independence.

Their journey is not just about mastering a skill, but about learning, developing, and empowering each other. As they gather together, it’s clear that they are more than colleagues — they are a family. Their shared passion for creating something meaningful for the world unites them. They inspire each other to keep pushing forward, to learn, to grow, and to become the strong, resilient women they’ve always been meant to be.

Through initiatives like I Village, these women are not only developing their craft but are also learning how to present their work to the global community, ensuring that their voices and their talents are heard. Their determination is contagious, encouraging other women to rise and stand up for themselves. These women, despite the challenges they face, are a shining example of what it means to be truly empowered. They’re not just crafting beautiful products — they’re creating a movement.
